I'm dreaming of a white Christmas 28/11/2015

Probably one of the best, if not THE best, things about living in Germany for Christmas is the Weihnachtsmarkt! There is plenty of traditional German Christmas food and drink to be had, plus beautiful Christmas decorations to buy. I want one of everything! Maybe next year when Lewie is less likely to break them. Maybe.

Christmas!!!!

Big piece of meat, small Brötchen, all delicious.

My all-time-most-favourite Christmas food ever is the Reibekuchen. These super tasty morsels are kind of like a potato cake but the potatoes are grated (like mock fish that Aunty Libby used to make Dani and Mum), and either served with apple purée (Apfelmus) or salmon and sour cream. YUMMO!

Shhhhhh... Serious Reibekuchen consumption in progress.

Lewie's first word (other than Mama, Daddy and Joshi of course) was LIGHT!

The markets are beautiful during the day, but much more special at night. Which is about 4pm so the kids don't miss out. Look at all of those lights, Lew!

Nothing says Christmas like a trip to IKEA to fill the car to the brim. Once again, Ben had to test his Tetris skillz all by himself. Luckily he passed and all items made it home safe and sound.

The completed project. My favourite part of the house!
